The Dredging Corporation of India, a big name in the dredging industry, is excited to announce a partnership to start a new educational program. They’ve signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Chennai and the Indian Maritime University in Chennai. The goal is to create a joint Master’s program in Dredging Engineering to train skilled professionals for the maritime industry. This program is a collaboration between IIT Madras, the Indian Maritime University, and the Dredging Corporation of India. It will include coursework, hands-on training, and a final project, totaling around 200-210 credits. Students will study at different locations, including IIT Madras and the Indian Maritime University, and will also get practical experience with the Dredging Corporation of India. This partnership is a big step forward in improving research, innovation, and technology in the maritime industry. It shows that these organizations are committed to working together to benefit the maritime sector and the country as a whole.
